Joakim Noah has win over Magic ruined by reporters in post-game locker room

Apr 15, 2014, 9:22 AM EDT

In the Chicago area, there’s a glorious day each year when the weather warms and the sun shines and you just feel better after a cold, dark winter.

Then it snows again.

There, winter never ends when you think it does. There’s always one more stretch of winter.

Apparently, Joakim Noah has not learned that lesson in seven seasons with the Bulls (hat tip: Barry Petchesky of Deadspin).

  • Noah: “It’s the best time of year. It’s not cold outside anymore. The sun is coming is out.”
  • Reporter: “You ain’t been outside. It’s snowing”
  • Noah: “You serious?! Nah!”
  • Noah: “It’s snowing for real?”
  • Noah: (sadness)

It’s snowing cause of Global Warming . and cause Man Bear Pig Says so. he can make BANK on the lies he tells the sheep in the world

    • fanofthegame79 - Apr 15, 2014 at 11:10 AM

      A) Who in the world is Man Bear Pig?? I don’t think I’ve ever heard that before. I’ve heard of Pig Vomit (“because you look like a pig and make me want to vomit” – Howard Stern), but not Man Bear Pig…

      B) You need to read a science book and put down the bible. The bible is nothing more than a series of bedtime stories. Just trying to help out!

        Look at your head.

All comments above this are just a waste of space.

      • 00maltliquor - Apr 15, 2014 at 9:14 PM

How you not know who ManBearPig is?

      • fanofthegame79 - Apr 19, 2014 at 12:56 PM

I don’t know…I felt dumb having to look it up. But thank you for the video – great stuff!!

      • jimeejohnson - Apr 16, 2014 at 9:12 AM

        Like you.

    • justanacehole - Apr 15, 2014 at 12:05 PM

The good thing about science is that it’s true whether or not you believe in it.

      • jimeejohnson - Apr 15, 2014 at 12:13 PM

The bad thing about Conservative right wing bass turds is that they’re dumb as sin.

    Suck it up, Buttercup!

  4. lastdukestreetking - Apr 15, 2014 at 9:43 AM

Amazing how often science ignorance shows up…

    • pfic15 - Apr 15, 2014 at 10:15 AM

Yes. Thats what global warming/cooling/climate change argument is at the end of the day. We aren’t the first generation on earth, won’t be the last. Besides manbearpig is too occupied with the terrorist news network to worry about some snow in Chicago.

      • fanofthegame79 - Apr 15, 2014 at 11:15 AM

You do realize that the global population growth over the last 100 years is exponential, right? And when you add that many people to the world, you lose resources and increase waste. The increase in waste (specifically airborne) will be the undoing. There’s an ecological tipping point that we’re beginning to hit and once “it” topples, there will be no going back. The ocean temperatures are rising and we’re losing glaciers at astronomical rates. This is nothing but bad for all of use. And the fact that we won’t be the last generation should be enough for us to want to clean up our act – it will be our children’s children that will really feel this.

      • pfic15 - Apr 15, 2014 at 3:11 PM

I agree with many points you brought up. Sadly, the disconnect begins when this movement ends in the pockets of environmentalist and politicians.

      • jimeejohnson - Apr 15, 2014 at 12:14 PM

Man Bear Pig was a fabulous satire. It’s not as easy to satirize the right wing bass turd because he’s so damned stupid.

      • fanofthegame79 - Apr 15, 2014 at 4:25 PM

Sadly, you’re right about most things ending in the pockets of the politicians. As Rage Against the Machine once said: We’ve got to take the power back.

I love the transcript of how this went down.

    Noah: (sadness)

  6. themagicfanguy - Apr 15, 2014 at 10:14 AM

@garypage Thanks for being the moronic troll of the day. In the southern US, average temperatures in the winter have risen almost every year since ’92. When I first visited there were icicles on the buildings, now when I visit they have one or two mild freezes every winter. You don’t need politicians or science to tell you what your own eyes should have already seen.

    • casualcommenter - Apr 15, 2014 at 11:04 AM

I wouldn’t recommend getting into climate change debates on this site.
Some people here don’t understand what “effective field goal percentage” is, and that’s a far less difficult concept to grasp..

      • fanofthegame79 - Apr 15, 2014 at 11:16 AM

        Good point, casual.

      • jimeejohnson - Apr 15, 2014 at 12:16 PM

        CantonPeaBrain’s a perfect example.

      • ProBasketballPundit - Apr 15, 2014 at 7:05 PM

@jimeejohnson You’re the perfect example, you dumbsh**. You don’t even realize that there’s a troll cantonbound making fun of cantonbound. You just keep replying to all his posts making fun of himself like it’s really him. Eff off.

    • bkbell3 - Apr 16, 2014 at 4:38 AM

Themmagic, look up the words Macro vs. Micro and then get back to us.

  7. 1harrypairatesties - Apr 15, 2014 at 10:28 AM

Noah is not only an awesome player, he’s also a funny guy. He makes for interesting interviews & was clearly expressing the way most of us here in Chicago felt when we saw old man winter out our windows again….sadness.

  8. imakcds - Apr 15, 2014 at 10:48 AM

Joakim would be much welcomed here in always sunny Los Angeles, the Lakers sure need someone like him on the frontline.

  9. capspats - Apr 15, 2014 at 11:22 AM

Why are we talking about global warning on a basketball sight?

    • jimeejohnson - Apr 15, 2014 at 12:19 PM

Because some guy brought up the Man Bear Pig episode on South Park which mocked Al Gore who brought climate change caused by human industrial activity to the mainstream. That, in turn, activated the selfish right wing bass turd network of stupid; these cretins wouldn’t change their lifestyles for anything but money. That’s why they don’t accept climate change, which makes them look like the arrogant pinheads they come from (parents).

    • Kevin S. - Apr 15, 2014 at 6:07 PM

Because some idiots seem to think a cold winter means it isn’t true, just like Stephen Curry going 6-33 from behind the arc over a four-game stretch in early January means he’s not a great three-point shooter.

  11. sicklife1 - Apr 15, 2014 at 12:22 PM

Man, was I wrong about this dude. Thought he was an all energy player coming out of Florida like a Balkman or Hansborough, but he’s got unbelievable skill & is a consistent all star player now & for years to come. Seems like he’s only getting better, year after year. Bulls are lucky to have him…wish my Knicks had a player like this.

    • fanofthegame79 - Apr 15, 2014 at 2:19 PM

I bet most teams wished they had a player like this – he really is a solid center.

  12. bballhistorian - Apr 15, 2014 at 12:48 PM

Joakim Noah just learn how muck f-cks mother nature doesnt give.

Every comments page is taken over by angry Conservatives spewing their BS. Don’t worry, the half-Black guy will be out of office in about 2.5 years. Then you losers can be mad about something else…

  16. 00maltliquor - Apr 15, 2014 at 9:17 PM

“You guys gonna win the championship”

    Noah: “Excuse me?!”

    “Just kidding”

    …LMAO, dead!

    • jimeejohnson - Apr 16, 2014 at 9:14 AM

Your comment calls for an ice cold malt liquor. Thanks.

      • 00maltliquor - Apr 16, 2014 at 4:36 PM

Oooh that sounds good right now…
