Jeremy Lin smashes a cake in his mother’s face (Instagram)

Aug 21, 2014, 12:10 PM EST

Being Jeremy Lin‘s parent must be an interesting experience. What are you going to say to him — he’s a Harvard graduate who worked hard and made the NBA, where he’s an international star who has $18 million in career earnings heading into this season. Still the family seems to have a playful relationship.

As evidence I bring you this post of Lin slamming a cake in his mother’s face. Enjoy.

Hat tip to Lang Whittaker at All-Ball, who has better sense than waste a cake like that.

(I know in the comments some of you will write “this is news?” Let me say this: If you haven’t figured it out by now, at PBT we bring you news, analysis and the silly of the NBA. All of it. The best part of this is format is if you’re not into some topic we post on, you don’t have to click on it. The fact you actually did click on this, then comment on it, shows me you do care about this and maybe we should run more of it. If you haven’t figured it out, the Internet in this big-media era is democratic (smaller case d) — if you click on something you get more of it. If you don’t care about something, try ignoring it.)

    THE NEW GILBERT ARENAS

CAN’T WAIT TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS WITH HIM AND NICK YOUNG ON THE LAKERS THIS YEAR!

    • paleihe - Aug 21, 2014 at 4:09 PM

      Nothing like Arenas. Ridiculous comparison.

      • pbtunpaidwriter - Aug 21, 2014 at 9:17 PM

At Arenas’ best he was dominating the NBA and hitting game winners like they’re nothing.

Jeremy Lin had Linsanity for two weeks.

Yea, of couse he’s the new Arenas. SMDH

      • duhwighthoward - Aug 22, 2014 at 12:48 AM

@pbt, REFERRING TO THE HIJINKS, DOLT!

    • zzalapski - Aug 22, 2014 at 12:15 AM

I doubt Lin would do something as abjectly idiotic as bringing a gun into the locker room.

LOL, now we know why he was sleeping on his brother’s couch. I would imagine he will not be invited to Thanksgiving dinner after this latest stunt.

  8. campcouch - Aug 21, 2014 at 7:39 PM

I don’t have the yaddas to do that to my mom lol. Enjoy life people!

Not that I have an issue with fluff & love & kitties or indirectly hawking shoes to poor children made by poorer children – but if you’re gonna be all snarky about your job, at least call it what it is: A nice distraction that’s funded by a bunch of stuff we need even less and probably does us no good.

A cake to your moms face is fine, nothing at all wrong.

Saran Wrapping her toilet however….that’s probably going a but too far…

    Don’t ask me how I know…..

    • socalgal64 - Aug 22, 2014 at 11:08 AM

LOL, was “a but too far” on purpose?
