Michael Jordan takes ALS Ice Bucket Challenge (VIDEO)

Aug 20, 2014, 1:01 PM EDT

Michael Jordan became the latest member of the NBA family to take the Ice Bucket Challenge, which is meant to raise awareness of ALS and generate donations to help fight the disease.

Jordan joins some of the biggest names in the game in supporting the cause, which have already included Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, and commissioner Adam Silver.

can we please stop reporting every celeb who does this? for two weeks every day multiple reports. traditional mediadoesnt get that this is what hashtags are for. reporting has turned into spamming

And commenting has turned into trolling. Stop knocking something that is a good cause and raises awareness of serious issues. Stop clicking if you are tired of it.

Doing things to raise money and awareness for causes is great but on the dark side of it i have read many stories about many charities that have as little as 10% of the money donated go to the cause and the rest goes to administrative costs. With many org. having ceo’s and upper mgt. making 6 and 7 figures with co. cars and expense accts. and platinum health care and retirement packages.smh

that guy got fired for using real ice and cold water

Yeah it’s for a good cause, but I too am a little tired of seeing news articles popping up left and right about people dumping buckets on themselves. It’s just silly. “This guy dumped a bucket on his head, that guy dumped a bucket on his head, this other guy dumped a bucket on his head, watch a video of another guy dumping a bucket on his head,…blah blah blah.

    That’s a pail not a Bucket!

To those of you who are saying you are tired of these stories, I think if you yourself had ALS or knew someone who did you would feel very differently. All of these stories help bring hope to the people who have ALS or know people who do because its showing people care and are donating to the cause to help find a cure for this little known disease. If you don’t like watching or reading then just don’t click on the articles or if its on the news just change the channel its not that big of a deal.

Yeah, people need to stop voicing their opinions on the internet and posting their comments in comments section. It’s ok for everyone to ignore stories and links but general74 apparently can’t ignore what your saying. Hypocrite.
