Watch: Stephen Curry’s hot start for Team USA vs. Brazil

Aug 17, 2014, 10:00 PM EST

USA Basketball’s win over Brazil on Saturday was about the return of Derrick Rose, who played in front of his hometown crowd for the first time in almost nine months.

It was also about Anthony Davis, and the way he flew around the court to make things impossibly difficult for the opposition.

But other players chipped in their share of highlights, and Stephen Curry had the crowd engaged with his 3-of-3 first quarter shooting.

Curry’s stroke appears effortless most of the time, but the ball-handling on display in his third shot of the period, where he went behind the back and through the legs with the dribble before hitting a step-back long two over his defender was truly something special.

I like Curry, but there has to be something more exciting in this game than someone going 3 for 3.
