Andrew Wiggins, Zach LaVine throw it down at rookie photo shoot (VIDEO)

Aug 3, 2014, 9:30 PM EST

The annual NBA rookie photo shoot has become something of an impromptu slam dunk contest the past couple years, and Sunday’s was no exception.

If we know one thing about the class of 2014 so far, it is that they have some dunkers.

Starting with Zach LaVine.

Of course, he challenged Andrew Wiggins so….

This is going to be a fun season with the rookies.

Wiggins needs to put more oomph into that dunk. That’s too lazy for me.

Still crazy how he did that with such ease.

Those two kids are gonna be so fun to watch with Rubio setting them up next year!
(Yeah, I’ve already accepted the fact that Wiggins isn’t gonna be paired with LeBron *hangs head low* lol!)

Rubio, lavine, wiggins, and bennett….omg….lob city. ..then the half courf with pek…they wont make ths playoffs but they will be entertaining

Bennet eh? A little greedy aren’t you son?

      • therealhtj - Aug 4, 2014 at 10:17 AM

At least Bennett has that built-in thermal layer that should keep him warm during those Minny winters.

Wiggins nonchalantly threw that dunk down. That’s impressive considering most players need a running start to get enough hang time to pull that dunk off

Future teammates, would be amazing to see the two pair in MIN.

BFD, I can do that all day in my back yard. In fact I’m uploading a video of me right now…. JK! Okay that’s impressive. Wiggins will be exciting.

Zach LaVine has that ridiculous Gerald Green/Vince Carter type of hops

Wiggins is much taller and longer than LaVine and even though he probably can jump just as high as those guys, it doesn’t look like it for some reason

  6. cnyle01 - Aug 4, 2014 at 8:56 AM

    Much taller? lmao

    • pbtunpaidwriter - Aug 4, 2014 at 11:04 AM

Yes 3 inches is much taller. Do you ever play basketball?

If Tim Duncan was 6’8 and not 6’11 he would not be who he is. 3 inches is a huge difference.

      Ugh trolls

About the only Cav fan not in denial thinking Wiggins stays with the Cavs and get Kevin Love.

    • 00maltliquor - Aug 4, 2014 at 5:54 PM

Not even close to being a Cavs fan. I can’t stand Dan Gilbert too, but it would have been beyond fun to see that duo purely from a sports fans perspective.
