Pau Gasol’s top 10 plays with the Lakers (VIDEO)

Jul 20, 2014, 9:30 AM EST

Pau Gasol is now a member of the Chicago Bulls, but played the last six-plus seasons in Los Angeles with the Lakers. He made three All-Star appearances and won two championships during that time, and these highlights give us a glimpse of just how skilled he once was.

Gasol wasn’t used properly his last couple of seasons in Los Angeles, due to a combination of coaching and the way the roster there was constructed. It wouldn’t at all be a surprise to see him return to playing near an All-Star level once again in his new situation.

Mistake not going to San Antonio. I accidently mistook Pau for a player who loved fundamental basketball in its purest form.

Yes, a veteran with rings in the twilight of his career should totally leave millions on the table solely because he loves “fundamental basketball”

      Mistake? No. Missed opportunity, yes.

      Thank you Pau.

Da Bulls look to be very tuff.

I hope his skills didn’t deteriorate too much under D’Antoni. I know he wasn’t utilized, but he may have gotten worse during that time too we just didn’t see it.

is it true that if you don’t use it, you lose it?

      is that a serious question?

      no.

Most of these highlights were from 4 years and several injuries ago. This post was really made to tease Laker fans….lol, love it!

Da Bulls could be very, very good this year.

  8. maddenwizkid - Jul 20, 2014 at 12:52 PM

At first I was upset to lose him but I realize that from a gm perspective, based off the direction of the team, the expectations based off last year, and the fact that we tried to do the right thing and bring him back so he could retire a laker, I’ve come to grips with his departure. Also he said him and kobe are bros so were good the I just hope julius randle goes to work if they match up cuz he could be a nice piece.purple gang.out.

What about the time where he got dunked on by Blake Griffin…twice…in the same game.

Pau gonna be an All-Star again going to the East. Easily.

God I’m gonna miss him!!! Take care of him Thibs, he’s a special one.

oh, man! that was fun the watch! The big guy has some nasty skills…not too many 7 footers can handle the rock like that steaming across in transition. I’m gonna miss the Spaniard. It feels good to know his legacy and time with the Lakers will be how history remembers him by. Those 2 titles he helped bring to LA will forever put Laker fans in his debt. Thank you, Pau.
