Watch Live: Kevin Durant, Nike Basketball launch his latest signature shoe, the KD7

Jun 25, 2014, 11:30 AM EDT

Nike Basketball and Kevin Durant are launching his latest signature shoe on Wednesday, and you can see it all unfold live right here.

From the official release:

Nike Basketball will proudly unveil Kevin Durant’s new signature shoe, the KD7, in a live online broadcast event Wednesday, June 25, at 12 noon ET. Broadcast legend Ahmad Rashad will host Durant and Nike designer Leo Chang for the live debut, which will include a few surprises.

The KD7 is designed to the specifications of the reigning Most Valuable Player and one of basketball’s most dynamic stars. The KD7 combines leading performance innovation with a few hidden cues, and a vivid narrative across multiple colorways that will all be unveiled during the event.

We’ve already gotten a peek at the first colorway of these, a USA-themed version that could drop as early as Thursday. Check out the event as it happens to see what else Durant and the folks at Nike have in store.

I think KDs(sneakers) are getting more popular than lebron’s.
    If not already.

I don’t know, but they’re definitely safer (and cheaper) for the average person. LeBrons are more of a shoe for sneakerheads, collectors and people with style, or if you’re none of those things and just have a lot of money to blow on $275 kicks.

Maybe these cats are focusing too much on their signature shoes and not enough on winning a title! KD is rapidly entering the discussion of greatest to have not won a title. Yes, he’s only 25 or 26 but the time to win is NOW!

Way too early for that talk.

    LOL! You’re kidding, right?

No thanks. I’d rather watch my backlogged DVR versus a “shoe launch”.

Eh. Not into KD’s tennis shoe style which is very Kobe like. They look a lot like Roger Federer’s shoes. Or almost like a cross trainer.

Never understood the lowtop either. Then again, a lot of guys get taped before games.
