LeBron James with chase down, volleyball spike block on Patty Mills (VIDEO)

Jun 15, 2014, 8:40 PM EST

LeBron James and the Heat came out playing with the desperate energy they needed a couple of games before — he started out with 15 points on 5-6 shooting, including a couple of threes.

And this defensive chase down block into the third row on Patty Mills. That should earn LeBron a tryout for USA Volleyball.

Miami’s defensive energy was much better to start the game and that got them a lead all the way up to 14 in the first quarter. The question with them is if they can sustain the energy.

Heat have had their fun for the night, as bad as i want to see a competitive series.

Losing is going to taste like steak tonight in South Beach. Biyatchhhhes

The Spurs have gone back to playing like the Heat want them to play. ISO Duncan, and Ginobili and Leonard jacking up threes early in the shot clock, etc. It worked for the Spurs in the 2nd quarter, but Miami will want to see them continue that in the 2nd half.

Hope you didn’t put any money on LBJ going ‘supernova’ in game 5 like you said he would.

      • antistratfordian - Jun 15, 2014 at 10:00 PM

        Well he is going supernova.

      • moppop - Jun 15, 2014 at 10:02 PM

        No, he isn’t.

      • antistratfordian - Jun 15, 2014 at 10:10 PM

He already has 27 pts and 9 reb. He’ll finish with what? 40 and 13?

      • moppop - Jun 15, 2014 at 10:13 PM

        8/17. Lowest of the series

      • antistratfordian - Jun 15, 2014 at 10:36 PM

Only the third player in history to put up 31-10-5 in the finals in 41 min or less. Shaq, MJ, LBJ.

      • moppop - Jun 15, 2014 at 10:30 PM

10/21 still .47 still lowest in series

      • antistratfordian - Jun 15, 2014 at 10:37 PM

Again, it’s been over 10 years since a player has put up 31-10-5 in a finals game in 41 min or less. And it’s only been done twice before.

      • moppop - Jun 15, 2014 at 10:38 PM

Done for the night, and he’s not even hitting your numbers. Hope you didn’t put any money on your predictions.

      • antistratfordian - Jun 15, 2014 at 10:40 PM

Man, you just saw history – LeBron just put up a finals game we’ve only seen MJ and Shaq put up.

      • moppop - Jun 15, 2014 at 10:41 PM

It’s only history if he’s the first. Still didn’t hit your numbers. Still wrong.

      • antistratfordian - Jun 15, 2014 at 10:45 PM

Ok, well how’s this for history: LBJ is the first player in history to put up 31-10-5 in 41 min or less in a finals game with only 1 turnover.

      • moppop - Jun 15, 2014 at 10:47 PM

You’re spinning because he didn’t hit your numbers. But hey, at least you got the gentleman’s sweep right, so you got that going for you.

      • antistratfordian - Jun 15, 2014 at 10:49 PM

I’m not spinning. These are facts. He’s the first to put up his stat line in a finals game.

He didn’t get 40-13 because Spo took him out in the 4th, but he would’ve.

      • moppop - Jun 15, 2014 at 10:51 PM

Doesn’t matter. He didn’t meet 40–13. That makes you wrong.

      • antistratfordian - Jun 15, 2014 at 10:51 PM

        Supernova, bro. Appreciate greatness.

      • moppop - Jun 15, 2014 at 10:55 PM

Lowest FG% in the series. He wasn’t great; if he was, he would have won Game 5. He didn’t. Thus I can’t appreciate what wasn’t great.

      • antistratfordian - Jun 15, 2014 at 10:56 PM

He wasn’t great? No, when you put up 31-10-5 in 41 min or less, that is even better than great. But he was the only one who showed up.

  4. themagicfanguy - Jun 15, 2014 at 10:00 PM

I dont think this is how the Heat want the Spurs to play.

  5. cantonbound13 - Jun 15, 2014 at 10:41 PM

    Not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, not 6, not 7…. What a moron!

  6. sumkat - Jun 15, 2014 at 10:56 PM

    Very nice block

Not a chase down, LeBrown was the last man back when the Spurs got possession

  7. themagicfanguy - Jun 15, 2014 at 11:30 PM

Yeah, because it totally matters that Lebron put up some good number while getting crushed in the finals… Lmao dumb heat fans.

  8. jimeejohnson - Jun 16, 2014 at 10:54 AM

The most pathetic aspect of it all is seeing fans of LOSER teams like the Knicks and Magic come here and gloat like they actually won something. Haters gonna be losers.
