NBA turns Durant’s MVP speech into Mother’s Day ad (VIDEO)

May 8, 2014, 5:38 PM EDT

It was one of the most moving parts of Kevin Durant‘s very emotional, heartfelt MVP acceptance speech — he thanked his mother, Wanda Pratt. A woman who both nurtured and pushed him to be what he has become.

The NBA and the National Basketball Players’ Association have turned that into a Mother’s Day ad.

You are going to see this a lot on your screens now through Monday, but this is well done and touching.

yes, but spare me the mothers day ad. You would think a guy like that would have enough cash without prostituting mama

meh, these dudes act like they’re dating their mothers. I love my mom too,but everything she did for me as a child was what parents are supposed to do when they decide to have kids. I didn’t exactly petition to be born lol. I’ll place this one below Derrick Rose’s speech for sappiness.
