PBT Extra: Did Golden State make the right move with Mark Jackson

May 7, 2014, 5:01 PM EDT

Mark Jackson and Kevin Durant are the big topics on today’s PBT Extra.

Did the Warriors make the right move firing Mark Jackson? (Depends on who replaces him.)

Can Durant’s emotional speech spark the Thunder in Game 2?

And what is with all the Round 2 blowouts?

00m- I concur and I don’t like Mjack but he got results.

If they hire somebody really good and the team takes the next step, it was a brilliant move.

But their current plan of replacing a former point guard who’d proven himself able to coach with another former point guard with zero experience doesn’t sound promising. I would expect a proven commodity to be Jackson’s replacement if I were a Warrior fan.

These firings never work out like the teams want them to. For one, it shows that they’re more worried about front office harmony over actually winning. If the players had turned on him, that would have been one thing, but that wasn’t the case here.

Short version: front office ego stroking is more important than winning. You got that right ‘realfootballfan’.

It depends on how mad Stephan Curry is about Jackson being fired!!
