Pacers’ George Hill, Hawks’ Mike Scott get into altercation in Game 6 (VIDEO)

May 1, 2014, 8:58 PM EDT

Late in the second quarter of Game 6 between the Pacers and the Hawks, George Hill and Mike Scott got into a bit of an altercation after getting tangled up on the baseline.

Scott easily could have been ejected for the mush to Hill’s face that was followed up with what certainly could be interpreted as a swing (and a miss) with the right hand.

Instead, only double technical fouls were issued.

Why isn’t this game on cable wtffffff

    • kinggw - May 1, 2014 at 9:21 PM

It’s on NBA TV, which is cable.

Because these teams aren’t popular ones so they’re buried on NBA TV

Agreed. When I was living in Vegas I got all Atlanta Brave and Hawks game. Now in Los Angeles not so much.

Was Paul George on the bench and he stepped on the court during an on court altercation? Didn’t A’mare and Diaw get suspended for a game for doing the same

    • davidly - May 1, 2014 at 11:28 PM

“During an altercation, all players not participating in the game must remain in the immediate vicinity of their bench.”

    • davidly - May 1, 2014 at 11:31 PM

But, yeah, even though A’mare walked much further away from his bench, I still think he and his team got f’d in that deal.

2nd game I’ve seen ATL blow down the stretch in this series

I heard Paul George will be suspended on game 7 for stepping in the floor. Can anyone confirm?

    • davidly - May 1, 2014 at 10:53 PM

It’s open to interpretation. If the league decides that he stepped onto the court during what he knew was an altercation, they could. Since he was standing already and barely drifted inside the line before Butler stepped out to keep everybody back. I doubt anybody will get suspended.

Didn’t the suspend Nene for the same thing?

How about Scott with a blow to the face shouldn’t he Hand been ejected ?

Did any Hawks come off the bench? Even to get a better “view” of the “fight”?
Any video of the Hawks bench during all of this?

    • xli2006 - May 2, 2014 at 11:21 AM

Yes. There is a photo that shows 3+ Hawks players in a similar position as Butler. George was barely 2-3 from his seat.

The Pacers bench actually handled it pretty well given how close it was.

There will be no action from this.

Mike Scott acts hard after every shot he makes (which aside from 2nd quarter in game 5 is rarely)… He wasn’t making shots so he had to get his hardness in somewhere… Scrub.

    • spursareold - May 2, 2014 at 10:14 AM

Yeah, because Stephenson NEVER does that…
