Watch stream of NBA players union press conference on Sterling punishment

Apr 29, 2014, 2:40 PM EDT

In the wake of NBA Commissioner Adam Silver’s action of suspending for life, fining $2.5 million and trying to force the sale of the team by Clippers’ owner Donald Sterling stemming fro racist comments he made, the NBA players union will share its thoughts on the punishment.

“Mayors Kevin Johnson of Sacramento and Eric Garcetti of Los Angeles, together with members and officials of the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA), will hold media availability to address the Donald Sterling matter.”

Watch it here.

Wow, players were willing and still able to boycott the rest of the playoffs unless Silver and the owners start the process of removing Sterling.

Just wondering, but don’t Kevin Johnson and Eric Garcetti have better things to do than get involved with the NBA? I mean, it’s not like Sacramento and Los Angeles have any problems right now, right?

Getting sick right now watching the absolutely useless L.A. city council. What a group of morons.

Couldn’t agree more. I said earlier that they should be focusing on LA’s problems, but now that I think about it, LA might be better off with them doing something else anyway.

Just wondering if point spread moved or was it off the board?

Not sure if anyone noticed, but Roger Mason Jr. VP of the union said players were ready to boycott playoff games if they didn’t like Adam Silver’s decision, and he wasn’t done. Mason said players want the owners to vote “immediately” on forcing Sterling to sell the team. “We want a timetable from the owners”.

    Push meet shove

Yes, we really needed the thieves of the LA city counsel to get 5 minutes of fame here.
