Tony Parker has sprained ankle, day-to-day for Game 5 Wednesday

I’d be surprised if Tony Parker doesn’t play on Wednesday in a crucial Game 5 for the Spurs vs. Memphis (the series is tied 2-2). But just how good a Tony Parker we get remains to be seen.

He has a sprained ankle, reports Dan McCarney of the San Antonio Express-News. Parker is officially day-to-day.

During Game 4 Parker was not himself, with 10 points on 14 shots, then after the game there were reports he was noticeably limping in the locker room. He will go in Game 5 but we will see if he is any better.

Less Parker means more Manu Ginobili and more Patty Mills, both of whom were impressive in Game 4, a Spurs win on the road that evened the series. Being without Parker is a blow, but no team compensates better for a loss of a key player than the Spurs.
