Watch Kendrick Perkins, Zach Randolph ask referee to let play physical ball

Apr 25, 2014, 5:15 PM EST

Kendrick Perkins and Zach Randolph make their living banging inside, being physical.

The way that NBA officials have been inconsistent these playoffs with where the lines are drawn on physicality, I completely understand why Kendrick Perkins would want to talk to the officials about that, and why he’s want Z-Bo (Perkins match up much of the game) in on the conversation.

I like how this is handled. Basically “I hear you guys, but don’t step over the line.” Seems fair to me.

And it is they playoffs, they should be allowed to be a little physical.

I highly doubt this. I’m not even a Perkins fan, but what the hell kind of naive comment is this?

      Go Memphis!

That’s a great clip for the NBA. Both players and the ref being respectful of each other and how the game is played. Nice to see.

Agreed. The rules can’t always be absolute, so as long as the players know where the little bit of leeway exists, let’s play ball.
