Paul Pierce crosses over Tyler Hansbrough before throwing down the huge slam (VIDEO)

Apr 25, 2014, 8:53 PM EDT

NEW YORK – It was a largely lifeless crowd for much of the first half at the Barclays Center for Game 3 between the Nets and the Raptors.

And then, Paul Pierce woke everybody up.

Pierce used a crossover to get by Tyler Hansbrough on the perimeter, and then got into the lane for a huge one-handed slam that brought the crowd to its feet.

The intensity was immediately ratcheted up from that point, with both teams getting a bit chippy to end the first half, which the Nets led 49-45.

Get up old man!!!! Man, all that’s missing from the old guys in the playoffs is Kobe. Pierce, Garnett, Duncan, Dirk still showing they can still bring it when the lights shine bright.

Can’t wait to hear about how the refs delivered the game for Brooklyn again, since the Nets obviously can’t beat Toronto on their own. /sarcasm

Tyler Hansborough reminds me of Beaker from the Muppets or a highschool wrestler with headgear and a singlet. In fact he should go out on the court dressed in highschool wrestler gear.

How the mighty have fallen. Paul pierce can now only cross up slow white guys. Dunleavy or Parsons wouldve been like “I’ll take that sir”

Paul Pierce; owner of the NBA’s slowest effective crossover in history.
