Joakim Noah exchanges expletives with Wizards security

Lose two home games to begin the playoffs, and the pressure can mount. Look at James Harden, whose Rockets lost two games in Houston to the Trail Blazers.

Is Joakim Noah – preparing for tonight’s Game 3 in Washington after the Bulls dropped two in Chicago – just as irritable?

Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times:

Joakim Noah and Wizards manager/security man Jackie Miles got into a back-and-forth exchange of expletives, after Miles came onto the Verizon Center hardwood, and started screaming for Bulls players to exit so the Wizards could start their shootaround.

Noah is usually the last Bull off the court in shootarounds, going through his morning routine, and wasn’t having any of it.

Noah told Miles, “Get the [bleep] out of here, I’m not done … get the [bleep] out of here.’’

Miles started firing back with, “Don’t [bleeping] talk to me that way,’’ and then again telling Noah to leave the court.

It didn’t stop there, as the two went back-and-forth for at least another minute

To understand this incident, you have to understand Miles.

Whenever he’s in the room, he acts as if he runs the place. He’ll begin conversations with anyone as if he’s know them for years. Sometimes, he’ll tease strangers from across the room. (For me, it was eating my ice cream too quickly).

If you smile at his oversized personality, he always good to laugh with. If you’re predisposed to view his work the other way, he’s a real jerk.

I typically takes Miles with a smile, but I don’t blame Noah one bit for not appreciating Miles’ act. Noah is preparing for the most important game of Chicago’s season, and he wants to focus – not get accosted by a Wizards employee. This would have been the right time for Miles to tone it down.

Noah had the last laugh, according to Cowley, remaining in the gym until he finished his routine.

I wouldn’t call asking him to clear the gym getting accosted, maybe you maybe interjecting a little of your personal BS into the situation, nothing like objective reporting.

Get’em Jo!! lol jk. both sides were probably real edgy with each other right from the start. nothing to see here.

Pro sports and the arenas/ stadiums are about schedules. If Noah was past his time, then he owes the man an apology, if not the guy should be reprimanded for interrupting the scheduled bulls practice time.

This wizards team could be facing the Heat in the eastern conference finals.

i think who ever wins bulls wizards is def going to the ECF. I havent seen such a crazy meltdown of a 1 seed in a while.

We now know why the Miami fan shot her finger at Mr Noah last year in Miami…

If your time was up just leave. Didn’t have to talk to the guy like that. Should’ve taken care of business in Chicago and you wouldn’t need to extend your normal routine.

Last laugh? I think we’ll wait and see the outcome of tonight’s game before we determine who got the last laugh in this little dust-up!

I guess the guy did the same to the Bulls in Jan too.

slow sports news morning huh. two guys yelling at each other is a true sign of toughness.

You’re so right: after all, this happens every day, especially in the CYO leagues.
