Toronto Sun fires shot at aging Brooklyn Nets (PHOTO)

The playoff series between the Raptors and the Nets should be one of the more competitive of the first round, given the fact that they’re the two teams that have piled up the East’s best records since December and January, respectively.

It’s a clash between Brooklyn’s experienced veterans and Toronto’s starting lineup, which features three players who have yet to taste the postseason.

The Toronto Sun took a slightly less respectful approach, however, when describing the Raptors’ opponents.

Not bad at all, though I’m not sure it’s all that wise to start a print war like this with the New York tabloids.

“That’s what old people do…they die” – old school

Love the headline! Sub-header a little corny. Crazy Canadians.

    F*** Brooklyn!

Why give these geezers respect? Watch Garnett’s left hand grabbing when on D –push, shove, grab shirt. He sits in his wheelchair in the key for over 8 seconds. Pierce travels so much he needs a transfer.
If you have to do that to win and have the refs in your pocket, then this is a sad league. What Masai said.

FOH Canadian. Stick with hockey and leave the basketball to us. Nets in 5 baby!

Now since bk won game one on the road, can someone explain what it means when they say the nets have stolen home court advantage… I’ve heard it for years but never investigated into the meaning of this

    • savvybynature - Apr 19, 2014 at 9:43 PM

Means Brooklyn just has to win their remaining home games in the series to win the series.

Actually, it was a Canadian who invented basketball, James Naismith. Your history books leave a lot of things out. Like when we burned down the White House in the War of 1812.

Hey, remember that one time, two hundred years ago, when we totally kicked your asses? Yeah!!

      Little brother inferiority complex, much?

    • fatcamper - Apr 20, 2014 at 8:54 AM

Funny. As our pathetic little brother I couldn’t even begin to talk about where your Preside…. errr..King….Queen..err..dictator lives. Seriously, what form of government do you even have up there? Canada is as relevant to an American as the Raptors are to the NBA playoffs. Not at all.

Canada… that cranky old neighbor who lives a floor above, and tries to ruin, a great party.

A perfect example of your eduction system here. Totally myopic. Your handle is what we call your tourists here.

Just checking to see if any Americans can read. You need to buy a vowel for education. LOL
