Jamal Crawford drains a jumper from half court to beat first quarter buzzer vs. Warriors (VIDEO)

Apr 19, 2014, 5:30 PM EDT

This looked good as soon as it left his hands.

Jamal Crawford is one of the best shooters in the game, especially under difficult circumstances. In Game 1 of the playoffs against the Warriors, pulled up from half court and banked home a shot from distance before the first quarter buzzer expired.

This was no desperation heave, either — Crawford drained a jumper from 47 feet out.

    Warriors in 7!

That was a desperation heave! The fact that he shot it with a jump shot doesn’t make it a regular shot. Nobody shoots regular jumpers from half court!

It wasn’t a jumpshot, but it wasn’t a heave either. He got all his momentum moving towards the hoop, so he was able to keep his form. If it was a true Crawford jumper he would’ve landed on his butt near his own 3 point line.

Good thing he spends practice time on half-court shots instead of his lousy defense, haha. Clips couldn’t stop anyone in that game.

I’m not a Clippers fan but to Doc’s credit, he did get them to play better defense this past season than they had recently so he’s got them pointing in the right direction…

I’m a Doc Rivers believer, he seems like a heck of a coach. That’s why I was pretty surprised they looked so lost on defense today (Crawford has been pretty terrible on defense all season though, hence my comment).
