Sunday, Wednesday, Saturday for Dallas/Spurs? A whole week to play three games, with two full days off in between each game?

Seems a bit odd. No one else gets that light of a schedule the first week. Maybe for TV they want a well-rested Duncan vs Nowitzki?

    • spursareold - Apr 17, 2014 at 9:51 AM

It’s all about TV and ratings. Prime time games are reserved for large markets. You’ll notice that they stuffed game 2 of this series onto NBA TV. There isn’t one weeknight prime time game until game 4.

    • azarkhan - Apr 17, 2014 at 10:25 AM

Miami-Charlotte get whole week to play 3 games, so, sorry Andrew, but you don’t know what you are writing about. BTW, I didn’t bother to look at the other schedules, but I’m sure they are similar.

It’d be nice if they told us WHICH FREAKING Time zone these are for!

    • davidly - Apr 17, 2014 at 9:48 AM

In the States it’s always Eastern Standard Time unless otherwise indicated locally.

    • spursareold - Apr 17, 2014 at 9:48 AM

Not sure about here, but the NBA usually uses Eastern Standard as the time for all games.

Love this site but love it even more once the Playoffs arrive! Time for the real basketball to start. Im ready for all the haters and trash talking to begin. Lets face it only FL (except for the common Northerners that migrate down here and brag about how much better their states are) wants to see The Heat get back to the Finals. So I’m sure plenty of people will be rooting for Charlotte in the first round. Not underestimating the squad at all but they’re just in the way. ‘Ship needs to stay in the Southeast. Nothing personal strictly business. #HeatNation

    • calkinsrob - Apr 17, 2014 at 1:43 PM

Maybe you only like this time of year because you only watch the heat during the playoffs…

      • turnmymicup - Apr 17, 2014 at 6:01 PM

Been a heat fan since Pre Wade. Born and raised in South FL. Watch the Heat ALL year. Then stay up all night watching the west coast games. Got the NBA App on the the Xbox and my phone. You don’t know me man. Kick rocks.

  4. unxpexted1 - Apr 17, 2014 at 9:50 AM

Nice to see that most of the east coast games start at 7 as opposed to 8. Which means a lil more games at 9:30 instead of 10:30 pm

  5. scoops1 - Apr 17, 2014 at 9:58 AM

good to see for once there aren’t 3-4 days between games in the 1st round….

  6. redbaronx - Apr 17, 2014 at 11:10 AM

The series that I’m really looking forward to is:

    Houston vs Portland
    Chicago vs Washington

Those should be the best first round matchups where the series could be close. I might have said Clippers vs. Golden State too, but with Andrew Bogut out, I doubt Golden State will be able to hang with the Clippers.

  7. fanofthegame79 - Apr 17, 2014 at 11:15 AM

I LOVE this time of year!!! There’s nothing better than watching NBA basketball when it really matters! Ok, I can think of maybe a few other things, but you know what I mean.

  8. phillyrox - Apr 17, 2014 at 11:23 AM

The 10:30 starts for the Clippers-Warriors series is a crime against non-west coast basketball fans everywhere.

    • spursareold - Apr 17, 2014 at 11:30 AM

They have 8 series to broadcast, and only so many time slots to use. West coast will play late. Always been that way, always will.

Click on the link if you are a LeBron ball sac licker like CantonPeaBrain.

      • cantonbound13 - Apr 17, 2014 at 6:04 PM

Says the joke that defends LeBron with every ounce of his puny body. Talk about licking a ball sack.

  10. jvw1982 - Apr 17, 2014 at 11:53 AM

Please show schedule in a Calendar as well as by match up, with so many games and different networks it would make it easier to keep track…..Sat schedule and network, Sunday schedule and network etc…..

  11. tfilarski - Apr 17, 2014 at 1:01 PM

    i assume these are EST?

    • Kurt Helin - Apr 18, 2014 at 5:27 PM

      Yes. I will add that.
