Nick Young celebrates missed 3-pointer

Mar 26, 2014, 9:45 AM EDT

There’s nothing cooler than a great 3-point shooter turning around and running upcourt while his shot is in the air. I love the confidence, how it subtly shows up the opponent.

But you have to make the shot.

Announcement: Pro Basketball Talk’s partner FanDuel is hosting a one-day $100,000 Fantasy Basketball league for Wednesday night’s games. It’s $25 to join and first prize is $15,000. Starts at 7pm ET on Wednesday. Here’s the FanDuel link.

They don’t call him Swaggy P for nothing.

At least Nick Young got back on defense.

      Kobe taught him that…

End of the quarter. Total non-issue. Typical Profootball/basketballtalk sensationalism.

That’s probably why he got back on D, knowing he wouldn’t have to play any

Nick Young makes the game fun .

    • nickjackalson - Mar 27, 2014 at 9:16 AM another sense..doesn´t respect the game enough..

he´s great for antics but I´d rather get destroyed and humiliated by him than have him on my playground team..
(and I´d really enjoy putting him on the floor trying baseline 360 on me)

there´s a way to play the game the right way and Swaggy P prooves time and time again he has no clue about it

As a lakers fan who wants them to lose for draft purposes, I was celebrating too!

    • sportsfan18 - Mar 26, 2014 at 8:51 PM

Your fearless greedy leader is not celebrating… not ONE bit…

Live in L.A. …nothings funnier then listening to spoiled Lakers nation cry every day about Dwight, phil, and free agency in 2015……..we have sun why wouldn’ you come to LA! … guys need to get rid of Max and Marcelus they’re pathetic….

    • ahash1 - Mar 26, 2014 at 12:58 PM

and its funnier that it is actually coming from a person who cant differentiate between ‘than’ and then’

    • Professor Fate - Mar 26, 2014 at 1:11 PM

You live in L.A., but have Chicago in your screenname. I grew up near L.A. and spent most of my life there, but finally left because half the state’s population are jerks from somewhere else. If you think the place is beneath you then why stay? The weather is certainly a huge draw, something you should know coming from a place like Chicago, where if it isn’t hot and humid it’s bitterly cold and windy. Let me guess: You went to L.A. for a good-paying job and will likely leave the minute you retire. Hypocrite.

    • ranfan12 - Mar 26, 2014 at 8:16 PM

If you want to blame someone, blame the Lakers franchise for winning so much and spoiling the fans with so many parades and victories, and the occasional 3 point winners with ~0.4 lol

  7. spursareold - Mar 26, 2014 at 1:19 PM

My God. Between Swaggy P, Javale, and Blatche, those Wizards teams were sure black holes of stupidity. I’m surprised those guys could actually dress themselves.

Three articles on the Knicks/Lakers game, two of them focusing on the Knicks, and the best PBT can come up with is this drivel about Young missing a shot. Lakers shoot 64% from 3-point land and this is the shot you guys focus on. Thanks.

    • spursareold - Mar 26, 2014 at 3:19 PM

They lost. By a bunch. Their 3G% is hardly relevant if they can do nothing else.

tmac, one time on the magic, shot a three and turned his back and started running down court while his shot was still in the air and the shot went in. it looked so cool. i miss tmac so much.
