Celtics unveil new St. Patrick’s Day green uniforms. With sleeves.

I love that the Celtics have always kept their jersey look simple and clean. I like that they’re doing the same thing with their new alternate jerseys for St. Patrick’s Day.

Of course, there are the sleeves.

Why the Boston Celtics actually need a special St. Patrick’s Day jersey is another question, but then we all really know the answer ($$).

It’s a pretty simple design: A solid green jersey with “Celtics” gold lettering across the front and gold trim around the neck, plus the player’s name and number in gold on the back. Plus the team’s shamrock logo is on the back. They go with green shorts that have gold trim on the sides and a shamrock.

Here is Jerryd Bayless talking about them with what I believe to be the Notre Dame University leprechaun. Or a reasonable facsimile of such.

Just in time for the warmer weather. They look really sweet. Sullinger jerseys will sell by the truckload at the St. Paddy’s day parade downtown this weekend.

LeBron will blame the Celtic’s jerseys for his next bad game.

A player really needs to rip those sleeves off during the game to make a statement. No more sleeves.

      that would be awesome!

I, for one, can’t stand the sleeved jerseys – they’re not playing baseball.

Not the worst. Those metallic logos had me running for the hills. At least this stays true to the color scheme the Celts would employ on St. Paddy’s Day anyway.

Now the league should make everyone play in official NBA turtlenecks with official NBA mittens attached to the official NBA sleeves.

It’s ok to be unealthy and fat, see just wear the new NBA uniforms, no one can see your flabby and sick arms like in jerseys which lead to healthier people who actually worked to get fit make fun of you.
No more! This is the soccer mom league now where the flabby fans will be pampered now and not made fun of. Everybody is a winner YAY!

Oh no, please say this is a joke. Sleeved jerseys have NO business being in the NBA.

Red would never stand for this garbage.

The celtics have eliminated themselves from the lebron free agency sweepstakes

People wear tees under jerseys, play games in the driveway in tees…I don’t even notice them during NBA games unless the guy is wearing a smedium. I mean, you can get a larger one Bron lol. Besides, have you seen all the stuff they wear now? Body armor,FULL body suits, kevlar knee pads, braces for everything that pivots, compression sleeves (leg and arm)…CP3 has some weird half long sleeve half short compression shirt that he wears. Kirk Hinrich wears full black body suits with elbow, knee and eye protection. Moisture wicking shirts are the least of the items that should be complained about on a player.
