Blake Griffin with Mailman tribute dunk (VIDEO)

Mar 11, 2014, 12:14 AM EDT

With former Utah Jazz teammate of Karl Malone Jeff Hornacek in the building — actually sitting courtside as coach of the Phoenix Suns — Blake Griffin decided to do a little tribute.

He threw down the Mailman dunk. (Griffin has spoken of looking up to the Mailman before, it not a coincidence.)

Then he threw down or knocked down everything else. He had 29 points on 11-of-12 shooting and that included going 6-of-6 on midrange jumpers. That shot has become a real weapon for Griffin now, he is a threat with the jumper all the way out to the arc (if all you think he can do is dunk you need to watch him again, he has developed into an elite four).

    Man all that guy can do is dunk. You feeling me clipper haters?

    Ah, excuse me but ah that was his only dunk en route to 29 first half points.

      Dude, let the Clippers win “something” before you get all cocky. Until then they are still the Clippers.

      Not hating on the Clippers. Just you, for being annoying as f**k.

    Blake is a legit MVP candidate. What I love about him is he just goes out and dominates without running his mouth. The improvement he has shown this season has been remarkable. All we hear about in the MVP race is KD and LBJ, not that they are both not worthy candidates. But what players like Blake and J. Noah have done should also be given some serious attention. Blake picked up his game considerably in the absence of CP3 and Noah did the same thing for the Bulls in Rose’s absence.

    @money

    How’s that worst loss in franchise history feeling about right now? Oh that’s right, it was against a bunch if scrubs. Those same scrubs that beat OKC. Pick what your argument is and stick with it.

    Blake looks up to a pedophile?

      Hey, all that stuff doesn’t matter on the court. What matters is that he’s one of the best PFs of all time.
