O.J. Mayo suspended one game for punching Pelicans’ Greg Stiemsma in the throat (VIDEO)

Mar 8, 2014, 3:01 PM EDT

O.J. Mayo has been suspended one game without pay for “forcibly striking” Greg Stiemsma in the throat during Friday night’s loss to the Pelicans, the league announced on Saturday via official release.

This comes as no surprise, as Mayo’s teammate Ersan Ilyasova received a similar suspension for even less of an offense that occurred in the previous game.

Milwaukee has the worst record in the league at 12-49 on the season.

So is the ENTIRE NHL !

They purposely clear the floor to allow the guys to fight!

Coincidence or irony that No Commentators refer to them as “THUGS”……hmmmmmmm

I have never seen a dude straight up steal money like OJ Mayo is this season. He signed with Milwaukee because they offered the most then he showed up out of shape and hasn’t given 100% of anything besides his elbow all year.

    Let’s be honest about this.

Stiemsma is just one of those guys who has a very punchable throat.

    I still can’t get over it…The Pelicans!?!

Mayo can be described as “soft as ice creme, that has been sitting in the Arizona sun for an hour” !

However, Stiemsma is probably only one of 5 dudes, in the league, he would ever consider punching.

He reminds me of Lamar Odom….he has all the “Potential” in the world BUT mental aptitude is questionable.

He should get 2 more for harming an endangered species.

I’d be frustrated if i was on the Bucks too. How can you enjoy losing that many games in a season.
