Watch Russell Westbrook record fastest triple-double in more than 50 years (VIDEO)

Mar 5, 2014, 3:35 PM EDT

Jim Tucker did it in 17 minutes in 1955.

That was the last person to record a triple-double faster than Russell Westbrook did on Tuesday night — 13 points, 10 rebounds and 14 assists in less than 21 minutes. Kevin Durant dropped 42 points on the sad 76ers as well, but Westbrook’s achievement stood out.

In case you missed it, check it out. And know if he is finding his groove again the Thunder are back to being the team to beat out West.

I will never understand why Westbrook takes so much heat? He is aggressive on offense because Scottie Brooks tells him to be. If KD has to take every shot he will be exhausted by Playoff time. He takes so much pressure off of KD. He is easily my favorite PG because he is a ballhawk on D and can give you a triple double any night. He and James Harden would have been the best backcourt ever if they would have kept him. I think people say what they do about him just because Skip Bayless says it. Sometimes in the past I saw lots of games where Russ outplayed every single guy on the court. Him being back will give KD a chance to take a week off if the schedule is a weak week.
