Dion Waiters leaves with injury after throwing down monster dunk against Sixers (VIDEO)

Feb 19, 2014, 9:31 AM EDT

Dion Waiters is known for being a bit of a chucker if you’re the glass-half-empty type, or perhaps as a deadly outside shooting threat if you’re feeling more positive.

On this play from Tuesday night’s win over the Sixers, however, he showed that he has the athleticism to attack the rim with the best of ’em, finishing a monster jam in traffic over Spencer Hawes.

The down side was that Waiters landed awkwardly, and left the game with what the team was calling a hyperextended left knee. He did not return, but the Cavs won their fifth straight, 114-85.

Cleveland execs are pissed he just hurt his trade value.

why would they want to trade him he’s the best player on the team?

Isn’t the the guy with the attitude problem that the Cavs have essentially given up on?

I know this kid has issues but I think he just needs to be in a situation with strong leaders like with KG in Brooklyn, or a strong head coach. Seems like he lets his emotions get the best of him. Cleveland is not a good fit for young guys coming into the league no matter how talented they are.
