Joakim Noah gets ejected, then swears at referees. That is going to cost him cash. (VIDEO)

Feb 4, 2014, 1:27 AM EDT

Joakim Noah was in a physical battle with the big front line of the Sacramento Kings and he was getting frustrated — he finally boiled over and yelled at an official the first time and got a technical on a play where he legitimately was fouled and there was no call.

Then he snapped a second time and started yelling at the officials when he got a loose ball foul, so an official gave him a second technical and threw him out of the game. Then Noah really went off on a profanity filled tyrade at the referees, until a Bulls coach escorts him off the floor.

Noah will be lucky to get off with just a healthy fine, he could get suspended a game for that outburst.

The Kings cruised to a 99-70 win.

I would have done the exact same thing. Nba refs are the worst. There is just no consistency anymore

I watched this happen live (on my TV). It was disgusting.

Honestly! I was curious to see what the call was after hearing the whistle. Than they called it on Joakim.

The worse was when they showed the replay. Literally Noah did nothing. He actually got shoved from behind. Than the call was he stopped Cousins from getting the board. At the time of the whistle, there was a Kings player in between the two (Noah and Demarcus), with Noah’s back against the play.

Maybe it’s heat of the moment, but it’s probably the worse call I’ve seen this season.

        My NBA all psycho team:

        Ron Artest
        Cousins
        Noah
        Birdman

Damn I need some guards in here…I prob forgot some

Was at the game tonight, the refs were ridiculously bad all night.

Can’t be too mad at the ejection though; at least he didn’t have to guard Demarcus anymore.

    What’s a “tyrade”?

    • pbtunpaidwriter - Feb 4, 2014 at 3:30 PM

When Kurt types “tirade” on his computer. It’s scary.

Your move Adam Silver. Curious to see how hard he’s gonna drop the hammer.

      pause

  5. fraudguy - Feb 4, 2014 at 2:07 AM

I think he confused Ty Lawson with a spellchecker.

  6. wwttww - Feb 4, 2014 at 2:07 AM

Even Cousins couldn’t stop grinning. Pathetic.

  7. fraudguy - Feb 4, 2014 at 2:07 AM

Does this mean Carlos Boozer got the minutes in the fourth quarter that he’s been asking for?

  8. maracineanu16 - Feb 4, 2014 at 3:51 AM

Now I will hate Cousins even more. Pussy

  9. kinglorious - Feb 4, 2014 at 4:31 AM

Such bs. These refs got the players by the balls. No one can complain or even criticize these guys and their “errors” in officiating cost hundreds of thousands a year. There needs to be some sort of accountability man. Someone to ref the refs.

  10. maracineanu16 - Feb 4, 2014 at 4:47 AM

In association football in Europe every country has a specialized commission that analyzes after the game what mistakes did the refs make during the game. As a result the referee could be fined or suspended for the next game (or, eventually more). The whole idea is for these guys to be held accountable for the vitiating the final result. Why isn’t there anything like that in the NBA?

    • Kurt Helin - Feb 5, 2014 at 9:39 PM

There is. Referees get constant suggestions/criticism from the league and referees are fined. However, it is all done quietly as the league wants the perception that it always backs its refs and what they say/do is the law.

thanks for making it clear for me. I didn’t know that. Thanks once again, Kurt

Being commish is boring at the draft, signing basketballs, and when you’re taking pictures with LeBron. Now Silver’s finally going to get to have some real fun. Let’s see how much fun he has with this one.

  12. shanelsweet - Feb 4, 2014 at 10:07 AM

The NBA has taken to apologizing for bad calls here of late. Time for Silver to step up and start fining and suspending refs. It can’t be any clearer that this ref let his emotions dictate his call. It’s the fans that suffer.

Was he screaming at Thibs too???

  14. uscoach - Feb 4, 2014 at 12:00 PM

    No fine. Terrible reffin’

  15. yuwannano - Feb 4, 2014 at 12:45 PM

“Fcuk you! Fcuk you! Fcuk you! You’re OK. Fcuk you!!” :p

Totally understand his frustration. The refs were in rare form last night and not in a good way.
