Kevin Love promotes All-Star Game knocking down threes blindfolded (VIDEO)

Jan 31, 2014, 11:53 AM EDT

Kevin Love will be starting in the All-Star Game Feb. 16. You (meaning you the fans, not really you individually) voted him in. He also is expected to be part of the Three Point Contest on All-Star Saturday night, but that is not yet official.

Love is promoting the weekend in New Orleans with this ad for the NBA, which is pretty clever. Sure, you and I know he could actually see through the blindfold, but still this is good. Admit it.

If I were to bet money on the 3-Point Contest, I would put my money on Kevin Love without a doubt. I’m not saying he’s the best 3-point shooter in the league, because Minnesota asks him to do a lot more than just camp out beyond the arc, but in this setting I think he will win it. Everyone knows that Kevin Love is a good player, but he doesn’t exactly stand out quite like some of the other marquee players the NBA builds their brand around. He definitely gets overshadowed, but if you stop and look at the numbers he’s putting up…it’s absurd. Has anyone in the history of the NBA led the league in Rebounds, while also knocking down over 100 3-pointers on top? I don’t think so…

He’d look pretty good in Miami along side King James

Laker fans said that about Dwight Howard. How did that turn out?

turned out with him averaging very, very slightly better numbers with houston than with his former team lol.

O God. Can’t we go a single article without someone or another going to L.A.? He will not leave $ on the table here in MN. All that hype is media driven much like the KD b.s. to the Nets.

All that money he could make in Minnesota would be fairly close to what he could make in Miami.

Minnesota taxes the heck outta your income.
Florida does not have state income tax.

      Minnesota has Polar Vortexes
      Florida has 80* and sun

      Minnesota can’t make the playoffs
Miami has been in the Finals the past 3 years

Minnesota screwed Love over not giving him a max deal.
Miami would gladly hand him a max deal.

Minnesota gets you Taco Bell endorsements
Miami gets you ___fill in the blank___ endorsements

Minnesota gets you a house on Lake Minnetonka covered in ice
Miami gets you a beach side mansion with girls in bikinis walking by.

Yeah I can see why he wouldn’t want to opt out and stay in fly over country

Florida is like a used tampon.

I was wrong about the guy. I would apologize to his face and shake his hand for becoming a top tier player.
