Rumor: Tom Thibodeau dated Kate Upton

Jan 25, 2014, 11:00 PM EDT

Unlike most rumors, we know where this one originated.

Tom Thibodeau.

Asked about Doc Rivers saying the Bulls would be “nuts” to let Thibodeau leave, Thibodeau said he didn’t want to comment on the rumors that led Rivers to be asked that question in the first place.

Via CSN Chicago:

“I’m not going to comment on rumors that you guys start, then you wait for me to respond,” Thibodeau said to the media.

And then he provided an, um, interesting example to prove his point.

“The rumor about my date with Kate Upton – started by me – I’m not commenting on that, either,” Thibodeau said. “So, let’s move on.”

I met Kate Upton in person at Miami. She’s amazing, so laid back!

FYI: I was telling the truth, but I know no one is going to believe me, that’s fine with me.

      • pharohislife - Jan 25, 2014 at 11:46 PM

        No, just nobody cares.

      • legend30 - Jan 26, 2014 at 12:01 AM

Well, I care. You also care because you responded to my comment. If you didn’t care, then you wouldn’t reply. Since you reply you care. People that clicked the thumbs up or down button, also cares about my comment. So you’re wrong.

No, we care about making sure you realize your comment was dumb and pointless. We don’t care about the time you spent with Kate Upton. Unless you post naked pictures of her online. Then I care.

funny, I met your mother while she was laid back!

      and boom goes the dynamite…

FYI: I was telling the truth, but I know no one is going to believe me, that’s fine with me.

Good one! People still say momma jokes?

        Oh.

      • sportsfan18 - Jan 26, 2014 at 7:18 AM

        Dynamite?

More like a firecracker and that’s being generous.

More like one of those bang pops a child throws on the cement and they go pop.

Chuckle, chuckle….’laid back’….what did you put in her drink brah?

Maybe Coach has a midlife crisis

  4. lakerade - Jan 25, 2014 at 11:41 PM

Amazing! Great quote, witty and poignant, that’s gonna come in handy in LA.

    • davidly - Jan 26, 2014 at 12:01 AM

Hah! It’d be amusing to see him try to play Bryant and Nash 45 minutes a game.

    • suckit619 - Jan 27, 2014 at 6:23 PM

LA? Why would he want to coach an old, garbage team like the Lakers?

    • mytthor - Jan 28, 2014 at 1:51 AM

Poignant? You should probably look that word up.

  5. hildezero - Jan 25, 2014 at 11:57 PM

XD That would be crazy though if he did.

  6. davidly - Jan 26, 2014 at 12:02 AM

Prince William might have something to say about this. What? Oh. Never mind.

  7. bigdaddy44 - Jan 26, 2014 at 1:11 PM

Great coach, all the way back to the SSC days. Will be a household name someday. Now, if he could just sign Hanscom and Kocher for next year, that would be something big…..

You guys think this is funny now, just wait until Thibs comes out with his own swimsuit calendar.

an ugly fat man, virtually impossible, if rumors related to rising star Chandler Parsons, I would believe it, IMO.
