Kevin Durant takes twitter questions, is a Stephen Curry fan

Jan 23, 2014, 3:45 PM EDT

Kevin Durant had a little time to kill on Thursday. The Thunder are off for the night, which means Durant will only score 25 tonight. He’s that good.

With that down time, Durant decided to answer some twitter questions. A few interesting things here — including a question about Stephen Curry and a couple of football queries — so we are passing them along:

Steph is best shooter ever? Disrespectful to Ray and Reggie. Go back and look at sum tape.

Curry could put himself in the conversation, but as of now, this early in his career, no way you can say he is better than the Ray Allens, Reggie Millers, Rick Barrys and Larry Birds.

Wait just a minute, there! He may not be better than the four Reggie Millers, nine Larry Birds, or seven Ray Allens, but he is definitely better than the fifth and eighth Rick Barrys.

“the fifth and eighth Rick Barrys”

also known as Drew Barry and Scotter Barry

It’s almost impossible to determine who the best shooter actually is since players take 3s in different ways – pull up, spot up, etc. Simple percentages can’t prove this because this would probably make Belinelli the best shooter to ever live.

One thing can’t be denied: Curry’s off the dribble variety is elite and he is a better 3-pt shooter off the dribble than all the ones listed above.

Larry Bird wasn’t bad either. Curry is on his way though…

Don’t know if I would say disrespectful. But yeah, Ray Allen and Reggie for sure. Because Reggie had the added theatrics, I’d put him at number 1.

some people think nba basketball started in 2000, I once told a guy Kareem played and won a championship in Milwaukee when his name was Lew Alcindor, so he went and googled it, he almost sheet his pants.

some people forget that Big O was doing what LeBron does now, with stats that is.

First time I’ve ever agreed with you.

Kareem does not get the respect he deserves.

        Kareem’s hardware:

        6 time NBA champ

        6 time league MVP

        2 time Finals MVP

        19 time all star

10 time all 1st team NBA

5 time all 2nd team NBA

5 time all 1st defensive team NBA

6 time all 2nd defensive team NBA

        Rookie of the year

        2 time scoring champ

ALL TIME POINTS leader in the NBA

        1 time rebounding champ

4 times lead league in blocks

3 time college player of the year

        3 time college champ

3 time consensus 1st team all american

Well actually if you wanna be technically Stephen Curry is a better shooter den Ray Allen and Reggie Miller . No disrespect to them they were great players . But Ever since Stephen curry has been in the league he has never shot under 43% from the 3 point Line . That says for someone who takes ALOT of 3’s . … Ray Allen has only shot Over 43% 3 times. Reggie Miller has NEVER shot over 43%( 42 was his highest one season) … Numbers dont lie … Reggie Miller and Ray Allen were more so spotup shooters. Stephen curry has the better shooting package because not only his FG is way higher .. he shoots great off the dribble and spot up. ray allen and reggie miller were better SCORERS .. but what KD said has some validity to it .

Durant is efficient even in his Q&A’s.

One person not in the discussion: Oliver Miller
