Toronto fans boo Vince Carter, he immediately responds with monster jam (VIDEO)

Jan 22, 2014, 11:07 PM EDT

Raptors fans need to let it go.

Vince Carter played his first six and a half seasons in Toronto, before ultimately forcing his way out and spurning the fanbase due to a complex set of circumstances. But now in his 16th season, it seems time to move on, no?

Apparently not if you were one of the fans in attendance on Wednesday for Carter’s return to Toronto as a member of the Mavericks. Fans booed early on, but Carter was unfazed, and immediately drove for an impressive dunk on one of his team’s early possessions.

don’t need to let anything go…carter admitted to giving up and not trying and and lers not forget the whole leaving the team for graduation the same day as the franchise’s most important game…so yes its still ok to boo

Another superstar gone to waste. If he cared even 90% of what his talents were he and Kobe would’ve had some REAL rivalries. Sad his cousin TMac cared more about being great and his body unfortunately betrayed him.

Dude barely got it over the rim….monster in his own mind. He’s played 16 years in the league so I would never call that a failure. Maybe not as good as your expectations but failure? No.

I gotta give it to Vince though. I thought he was done after Orlando…he’s still a very solid player in the league.

Dude cared about some stupid piece of paper for graduation then a game 7 game.
He woulda got swept in the finals vs the lakers anyways but still shows you where his priorities were.
