Greg Oden blocks Jeff Green’s dunk attempt (VIDEO)

Jan 21, 2014, 9:46 PM EDT

That is Greg Oden, the injury-riddled Heat big man who debuted with the team last week, starting to look like the guy the Heat hoped they were getting. The guy who can make a defensive difference in the paint.

In the second quarter of the Heat/Celtics game Tuesday night, Boston’s Jeff Green got the ball on the left side, made a nice play to drive past LeBron James, went in for the dunk and… meet Mr. Oden.

With Oden starting to contribute you don’t see the Heat thinking they need to bring in Andrew Bynum and his baggage, in fact David Aldridge at NBA.com said the Heat are looking to trade for another wing player, not a big, at the deadline.

Lately the videos go first to an ad for State Farm- that I’ve seen a million times- then lock up and don’t show me the actual video I was trying to watch.

    Harshedmellow is not amused.
