Clippers/Pistons Monday was a dunking exhibition disguised as an NBA game (VIDEO)

Jan 21, 2014, 8:45 AM EDT

This wasn’t much of a game — the Clippers went on a 21-3 run in the second quarter Monday and pulled away from the Pistons for an easy win (Los Angeles is now 6-2 without Chris Paul, not bad).

What this game really was a dunking exhibition.

DeAndre Jordan had a bunch, of course Blake Griffin had his and there were some Andre Drummond and Josh Smith dunks thrown in for fun. CP3 wasn’t there to lob the alley-oop passes up, but J.J. Redick filled in quite well, thank you very much.

The best one of the group? I’ll go with the Jordan finish over Smith. But there are plenty to choose from. Enjoy.

I think it’s weird that DeAndre gets no attention for his improvements on the defensive end this season. Sure he is still a poor FT-shooter and not extremely good offensively, but in my opinion he is among the best defensive players this season.

Maybe a defensive player of the year candidate? My point is, he is very underrated and for many he is just a dunker.

His defense is improved but he is not in the DPOY conversation, or frankly the All-Star conversation.

There are too many good players in the west for him to be an All-star, sure. However I think you’d have to include him as a possible All-star if he played in the east.

Unfortunately defensive big men rarely get the attention they deserve..

He is definitely the most improved player on the defensive end in my opinion.

Some games you just have to sit back and enjoy the show ~ this was one of them. Fun.
