Thad Young hits the game-winning three to send Sixers past Bobcats (VIDEO)

Jan 16, 2014, 12:35 AM EST

Thaddeus Young has been largely amazing for the Sixers this season, but has also been a bit of an enigma over his last few games.

After being named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played through Jan. 5, Young followed that up by going scoreless in 22 minutes the very next day. He returned to form the two games after, but was more below average against the Bobcats on Wednesday — at least until it came time to take the game’s biggest shot.

Young set a screen for Michael Carter-Williams with the game tied late, before popping out behind the three-point line, where he received the pass and calmly drained what ended up being the game-winning three-pointer that gave the Sixers their 13th win of the season.
