Inflatable Rockets’ mascot knows how to scare players (VIDEO)

Jan 9, 2014, 7:02 PM EDT

Inflatable mascots are the best.

This is Clutch, the Houston Rockets’ mascot, in inflatable version. And this is Clutch trying to scare Rockets players after practice. Is this all real or is some of it staged? My guess some of this is more like reality TV than reality (really Dwight Howard? that’s bad acting), but still some of the reactions are genuine.

Inflatable mascots are good for freaking out players, great dance routines, and the occasional marriage proposal.

Hat tip to The Sporting News.

Francisco Garcia, bless his heart. Nothing phases him.

Many of you have read my outbursts about my literal hatred for Dwight Howard trying to be funny in several posts. This has been an ongoing problem with me for years. It irritates me worse than a rash on my ass, and I’m not entirely sure why. I think he’s a pretty nice guy.. he’s trying harder.. I just can not, for the life of me, watch him try to be funny without wanting to punch a kitten.

We’ll have to see if it’s any match for the brothers Lopez.
