Quote of the day: Kevin Durant thought Madison Square Garden was awfully quiet

“It felt like no one was in here.”

Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder, describing the crowd at Madison Square Garden on Christmas Day to Chris Herring of the Wall Street Journal.

I can’t blame Knicks’ fans for this — what has this team given them to cheer this season? Another poorly chosen J.R. Smith jumper? At some point even the most diehard fan of a team gets worn down, and for a Knicks fan base that came into this season with high hopes the blowout loss to the Thunder was a start reminder of how far away they are from contender status right now.

“Another poorly chosen J.R. Smith jumper?”

The poorly chosen bit is redundant when it comes to Smith’s shot selection.

No Melo and every Knicks fan knew it was going to be a beat down.

    I’d be quiet too…
