Merry Christmas Paul Pierce: League fines him $15,000 for George Hill foul

Dec 24, 2013, 1:14 PM EDT

Merry Christmas Paul Pierce, the league would like a $15,000 check.

Pierce was ejected Monday night for the above clothesline of Indiana’s George Hill, what was clearly a frustration foul. It was the right call. Now the league has come down with a $15,000 fine to boot.

Plus Santa is bringing him a lump of coal.

he got off lucky! he is a vet who knew exactly what he was doing when committed that cheap shot foul. the Pacers are lucky Hill was not injured on that play. it is not his fault you and garnett are washed up and over the hill and the nets suck. I would expect more from a guy who until this foul was looked up to and respected by basketball fans no matter what team you rooted for. not any more! should have been suspended a game or 2 in addition to the fine. have fun watching the Pacers and the celtics in the playoffs while the nets sit at home.

It’s so hilarious how weak the NBA has become. That wouldn’t even have been flagrant in my high school games (not that long ago). But in today’s NBA it’s an ejection & fine? Lol. Total acting job by Hill, laying on the floor like he just got hit by a car or something. It’s worse than soccer now. How do people watch this garbage? Like honestly, I don’t understand how anyone can watch this crap.

It wouldn’t even have been a flagrant if he was a Heat player. You can take that to the bank.

Undoubtedly a cheap shot – that Nets-Celtics trade is looking worse and worse and worse for the Nets. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Celtics’ get TWO lottery choices next year.

I don’t know who the genius is on the Nets side who gave the OK for the trade, but I sure would like to thank him.

Stu Jackson needs to get slapped really hard. Or whoever it is that hands out the fines.
