Report: Attempts to revive Kyle Lowry to Knicks trade talk failed

Like Generalissimo Francisco Franco, trade talks between the Knicks and Raptors are still dead.

There were at points talks between New York and Toronto about swapping point guards — Kyle Lowry would come to Manhattan and Raymond Felton would head north to Canada. But the talks stalled over what was needed to make that palatable — Toronto wanted a future first round pick (it would be at least 2018). Knicks owner James Dolan shot that down, tired of being fleeced by Masai Ujiri.

None of those dynamics have changed, reports Howard Beck at the Bleacher Report.

No surprise there, just passing the info along.

For now the Knicks are what they are. They have Tyson Chandler back but beyond that it’s hard to see how this team breaks out of its funk.

it’s the east, one good three game winning streak and the knickerbockers are in it.

Yeah. Then they get the 7th or 8th seed and get the holy hell blasted out of them.

I think the N.Y. NBA media is making things up in order to give the Knicks fans something to get hopeful about. According to my Raptors sources nothing is happening and not only that but they never have had interest in shopping any of their current rotation players.

Delete this if you like. I know the truth.

Well if that is the case than Toronto is insane.
      A) Shumpert is better than Kyle Lowry but the Knicks have Hardaway Jr & JR
      B) Kyle Lowry is MAYBE is a top 15 PG
      C) Kyle Lowry is not worth anywhere close to a 1st round pick
      D) Kyle Lowry is leaving the Raptors after this season and they will get nothing in return.
Not bringing Shumpert to that franchise is doing Toronto fans a disservice. And I’m happy the Knicks brass is pretending to be smart enough to not make an awful deal for an average player.
Long story short, NY fans do not get “hopeful” that our team will make bad trades.
