Taj Gibson, Brandon Jennings get flopping warnings from league

Dec 22, 2013, 9:20 PM EDT

The league had a special Christmas greeting from Santa for the Bulls’ Taj Gibson and the Pistons’ Brandon Jennings:

Stop flopping. Or you’re getting a lump of coal.

Gibson got his for this play against the Cavaliers, and while it’s an embellishment doesn’t seem like it was as bad as some stuff that goes uncalled.

Brandon Jennings earned his for this flop against Patrick Beverley of the Houston Rockets.

The league gives players a warning for the first flopping incident, the second time it’s a $5,000 fine and the penalties go up by $5,000 from their until a fifth incident when… we don’t know. It hasn’t happened yet. This season 16 players have been warned and two of them earned a fine — James Harden and Corey Brewer.

I go to Bulls games all the time and this is the first time i see Taj Gibson trying to flop. He is not good at it in the first place and i really don’t see him as a flopper. He is a tough hard nosed players who plays hard every game. I guess the league caught him in a nick of time before he becomes one ,like LeBron or Mario Chalmers. Taj just say NO to flopping, you are too good of a basketball player.

I seen two Jennings flops in that video, is the first one a warning, and the second a fine? He tried to sell the steal and flail to the ground hard, then that atrocious hand flailing after. give em 5k before you leave Stern.
