James Harden takes free throws on one foot after rolling ankle (VIDEO)

Dec 16, 2013, 1:19 AM EDT

Early in the third quarter Sunday of what would become an ugly Rockets loss to the Kings, James Harden rolled his ankle on a play where he was fouled by Ben McLemore.

Rather than leave the game, Harden took his free throws while lifting his tweaked left ankle. And he nailed them.

By staying in to take the free throw it meant he could return to the game (if you leave the other team gets to pick who takes the shot and you cannot return). Harden did return to the game. Not that it mattered, the Kings thumped the Rockets (and DeMarcus Cousins completely outplayed Dwight Howard, but we’ll save that for The Extra Pass recaps).

So, do I have to take the shot, or can I just take the “H” and go on to the next shot.

This really seems like it’s becoming a trend with younger guys. I’ll be playing pickup games somewhere and injuries will get milked, just so it looks heroic when they return to form. If he could walk around on it, he could shoot on it.

      The Paul Pierce Effect.

The league is fool of guys that flop and greatly exaggerate injuries. From the best player in the league to the bottom.

        *full*

What a drama queen. Throw in the constant flopping and the lack of effort on defense and Harden is becoming insufferable.
