LeBron finishes a one-on-three fast break against Pacers (VIDEO)

Dec 11, 2013, 9:31 AM EDT

Indiana got the win over Miami on Tuesday, in a game the Pacers talked up a lot more beforehand than the defending champs cared to in advance of an early-December contest.

LeBron James brought the intensity early by shutting down Paul George for the game’s first 12 minutes, and scored his first basket of the game on this play in transition, even though there were three defenders back.

I texted a couple of my friends to tell them about that finish by LeBron because he makes it look so routine, yet it’s an extraordinary play. If I went to the gym and practiced full speed free throw line spin/lefty layups I would probably make 1 out of 25. And I’m actually pretty decent shooting with my left hand. At this point I don’t think we should even call LeBron right handed; he’s ambidextrous.

Probably why he’s in the NBA and you’re on PBT.

That is why he’s the best in the world.

really?? in the world?? I think that description is a little bit lofty. make all the highlight plays u want, it only matters who got the WIN after 48 minutes

So Paul George is better than LBJ? hahahaha

    • ranfan12 - Dec 11, 2013 at 7:28 PM

      only because the mamba retired

      • ranfan12 - Dec 12, 2013 at 11:44 PM

LeBron is a lefty. The only thing he does that is right-handed is shoot a basketball.

it’s obvious that this column was written by a LBJ lover because he failed to mention that yes paul George was “shut down” in the first half while in the second half he outscored james and finished with the same point total while paul George’s TEAM got the win over LeBron James….. watch the game and not just the highlights.

First off, James shutdown Boy George when he was guarding him in the first half. Second, this is a game in DECEMBER. If you want to look at it as an indicator that the Pacers will win the title, by all means go for it. God, knows that the bulls and Celtics felt the same way in past years.

It’s not natural for a man that big to be able to do that. Imagine Alonzo Mourning moving like that – he and LeBron are about the same size.
