Kobe Bryant’s first dunk since return (VIDEO)

Dec 11, 2013, 12:24 AM EDT

Kobe Bryant can dunk again.

It’s not going to be remembered as one of his most thunderous throw downs, but he got around P.J. Tucker with the spin, got to the rim, took off with both feet and dunked.

It’s about steps with Kobe on his return. His turnovers were down, he got a dunk and he looked better against the Suns Tuesday, which were steps in the right direction. He also struggled on defense and is still showing limitations. It’s going to take time.

Those commentators loved throwing out the “first Kobe …. of the year!” yesterday at any possible chance they could.

By the way, does anyone else think the lead play by play guy (sorry, I haven’t look up the names yet) sounds like he’s talking to a young child when he calls games? He sounds too..nice? Ya know if like a, “hey guys, this is fun!” type of way?

Mind you, this is also before I just realized the “Carl’s Cam” logo was a smiling yellow star.

His name is Bill McDonald, and the Carl’s Cam logo is obviously just the Carl’s Jr. logo…

If McDonald is bad in any way, Stu Lantz makes up for it. Love watching the Lake show just for his color, and Kobe of course.

Like I had said before his return. Kobe will have at the end of the season, regular of course, been paid about 2 million per dunk this year. Great deal Kupcake, great deal.

Leave it to a Clippers fan to assume you get paid by the dunk.

Whoa… he got no lift off of that jump. Almost got blocked by the rim.

Why do you hate Kobe so much?

    • antistratfordian - Dec 11, 2013 at 3:18 AM

I love Kobe. Big fan. But he barely generated any lift for this dunk. He can get away with it against the Suns though – he probably knows that.

Big freakin deal, so Kobe can still dunk a basketball, they act like that was a surprise. Pathetic Lakers

    • asimonetti88 - Dec 11, 2013 at 10:34 AM

Can you dunk? No? I won’t act like I’m surprised.

That’s not even a decent troll statement. Work on your game son. Look up antistrats post and then come back with better material.
