Kyle Korver breaks record for consecutive games making a three (VIDEO)

Dec 6, 2013, 9:23 PM EDT

Ray Allen couldn’t do it. Neither could Reggie Miller or Stephen Curry or any of the other three-point marksman you can name.

Kyle Korver has now made a three in 90 consecutive games, breaking the record Dana Barros set in 1996. He did it midway through the first quarter from above the break on the right side — it was a clean look off a Paul Millsap dish.

It’s a record of consistency — getting open, knocking down the shot and doing it night after night. Korver has done that for more than a season now and that is impressive.

And Not a Single ____ Was Given That Day

well, Korver earned millions of dollar, so he ain’t give a ____ about YOU either.

      • antistratfordian - Dec 7, 2013 at 1:19 AM

        you’ve got yourself a deal!

    • davidly - Dec 7, 2013 at 6:31 AM

Despite your trolling being what indirectly prompted it, your reply is golden–and a capitalized Y away from being perfect.

      • antistratfordian - Dec 7, 2013 at 6:02 PM

no, it is perfect. it’s a technique, and sometimes a style. the letter was in fact capitalized when I first wrote the sentence. one would cut it down for several reasons; in this case the y was kept lowercase to capitalize the indifference.

    • pbtunpaidwriter - Dec 7, 2013 at 4:31 PM

Yea, the fact that he did something that Ray Allen, Reggie Miller, Dana Barros, Peja and all the countless all time great shooters couldn’t do means nothing.

      You’re a joke anti.

      • antistratfordian - Dec 8, 2013 at 8:22 PM

Well it was a record last set by Dana Barros, so… you don’t have to be an extremely high caliber NBA player to do it.

    • davidly - Dec 7, 2013 at 6:37 PM

Should’ve said you were parodying that which you were answering; that I’d’ve bought.

      • antistratfordian - Dec 7, 2013 at 6:39 PM

But.. I wasn’t. So why would I say that?

    • davidly - Dec 7, 2013 at 6:45 PM

‘Cause you’re always shifty, spurious, evasive, and circular. To wit: if you didn’t care you wouldn’t troll.

      • antistratfordian - Dec 7, 2013 at 7:50 PM

Well the extent to which I cared is obvious now. That isn’t the point at this point. The point then was to suggest indifference.

But I am too proud to allow someone to imply that I was lazy or careless – so I revealed some tradecraft. I could pull the veil back further and explain how I went from “Deal” to “done deal” to “You got a deal!” to “you got yourself a deal” to finally “you’ve got yourself a deal!” – but that would be grotesque.

Nearly everything that I post is calculated in this way – down to the letter.

      • davidly - Dec 7, 2013 at 10:27 AM
