Blake Griffin unsuccessful in his attempt to ‘Mozgov’ Roy Hibbert (VIDEO)

Dec 1, 2013, 6:20 PM EDT

Blake Griffin has a had a multitude of extremely athletic dunks that have humiliated defenders throughout his career, but the one he threw down over Timofey Mozgov is what most people point to as Griffin’s signature slam dunk highlight.

Griffin tried to add Roy Hibbert of the Pacers to his posterization reel on Sunday, and although he tried to do Hibbert in much the same way he did Mozgov, he was unable to come through with the finish.

Still, going up that high and grabbing the back of Hibbert’s head before attempting to dunk over him took some … initiative, we’ll say, and the effort is certainly something worth noticing.

You left out one small detail….

    Pacers 105
    Clippers 100

    You’re welcome.

You left out one small detail.

      Pacers 16-1.

      You’re welcome.

Oh, and grabbing a dude’s head to launch yourself at the basket out to be a flagrant foul. I love me some Griffin, but come on man.

A dunk “attempt” is a story.

C’mon, the sports news day can’t be that SLOW?!?

In a game where out star JJ is out, the majority of 50/50 balls, 50/50 calls went the Pacers way and CP3 missing several shots at the elbow late(he will make those 80% of the time) and the Pacers eek out a win. No such thing as moral victories. However, Pacers don’t look like the big bad bully’s on the block anymore. Clippers will return the favor when they play again. Guaranteed.

See ya in Naptown, January 8th. Hope Redick is back soon. It’d be nice if Granger was back by then, too. I don’t make guarantees, though.

Rebook that flight for the 18th. Bill it to my manager.

Your star is JJ Reddick? I just laughed out loud!

wait you mean the pacers have not lost since the the bulls game? but the bulls said the pacers were not a rival and the heat were the real test. how is that working out for you bulls fans? as for clippers fans whining about injuries the pacers have played without Danny Granger and seem to be able to handle the loss of their best players without any problem. face it the Pacers are a very good team and will be a force to be reckoned with come playoff time.

I love Blake Griffin as much as the next guy but… when did that stop becoming an offensive foul? You can grab a mans head in a dunk attempt… but if you jump on a pump fake and someone throws themselves into you, its a foul. Boy has the game changed…

If either of you were paying attention Hibbert had already fouled him prior to BG grabbing the back of his head. Once the foul is committed consider the rest to be continuation.
