Denver put away Minnesota on 6-0 dunk run (VIDEO)

Nov 29, 2013, 1:59 AM EDT

There were no games on Thanksgiving to bring you highlights from, so we have one more from Wednesday night.

Denver’s offense has opened up since JaVale McGree went down — driving lanes have have parted like the Red Sea, and the Nuggets feel like they are running more, and guys are working hard on the glass. The Nuggets are getting to the rim more one way or another.

Take what happened Wednesday night as an example. Minnesota had come back to be down by one — 102-103 — with under four minutes to go, when Denver got to the rim for three straight dunks to put the dagger in the game and earn the win. Two of the dunks were J.J. Hickson, the other was Kenneth Faried running the break and finishing with authority. Denver went on to win 117-110.

Denver is fun again.

Javale “McGree”, hahaha. Every since the Wiz stole Nene from the Nuggets for McGee, and then ownership fired their COY George Karl because he wouldn’t play him, I’ve been waiting for their fans to finally figure out that they’ve been robbed. After averaging just a few minutes a game for his new coach, now he’s hurt, and surprise, surprise, the Nuggets are playing better without him. Jumping really high and running fast doesn’t make you a good basketball player. As a long time Wizards fan, it’s so nice to have something to smile about for a change. Ernie Grunfeld should be GM of the year for turning this franchise around so quickly after years of being forced to work with folks that the former owner (80+ years old Abe Pollin) fell in love with like Gilbert Arenas.

Andre Miller is amazing. Two of those dunks were a result of Andre Miller’s plays which will be overlooked.

His tough rebound in traffic then to have the presence of mind to throw it to Chandler before he fell to the ground which led to the Faried dunk. Then the perfect bounce pass to Hickson for the next dunk. Dude could flat out play.
