Lopez, Williams, Terry, Kirilenko all out again for Nets Friday

There are a lot of things that need to get turned around for 3-8 Brooklyn. On the offensive end of the court they need Deron Williams and Brook Lopez to take charge and make everyone else a role player. On the defensive end they need to be more cohesive, stop fouling and be stronger on the glass.

But none of that is going to happen if they can’t get healthy.

And they are not — Deron Williams, Brook Lopez, Jason Terry and Andrei Kirilenko will again all be out for the Nets Friday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves, reports R0d Boone of Newsday.

Announcement: Pro Basketball Talk’s partner FanDuel is hosting a one-day $20,000 Fantasy Basketball league for Friday night’s games. It’s just $10 to join and first prize is $3,000. Starts at 7pm ET on Friday. Here’s the link.

For those of you scoring at home, that will be four games missed by Lopez with his ankle sprain. Expect to see a whole lot more Andray Blatche.

On the PBT Podcast this week Stan Van Gundy said he still expects the Nets to turn it around and be a top four team in the East, but that they had to expect injury issues with this roster (just not so much to D-Will and Lopez).

And the weird part is that the two old guys aren’t among the walking wounded. I figure eventually that will change.

But it’s D-Will who continues to be the biggest worry. Is he turning into Brooklyn’s answer to Amare?

if healthy, brooklyn should be a contender for the eastern conference playoffs. so much for that lol

Should be a nice game for the wolves! … Then again I should know better as I am a Minnesota sports fan. They always blow it, wolves, vikings, and twins. They just can’t hang with real competitors. Hopefully that changes soon…..GO T’WOLVES!!!!

This team is old. There’s my expert analysis for today.

Hawks get to swap 1st rounders with Nets if they choose…no tear will be shed in Atlanta for Brooklyn this year.

But the Nets got Joe Johnson(and his massive contract) so they are the clear winners in that trade!

And the owner is going to pay an $80 million dollar penalty tax for this outfit this year.

If they WERE in Russia, the players would NOT be getting paid for their performance so far this season…

And if it were to continue, some of the players might “suddenly” retire in the middle of the season, never to be seen or heard from again…
