Danny Ainge says not to expect Rondo back until December

The Boston Celtics roller coaster of an early season continued Wednesday — they lost the first four, won the next four, then showed up against the Bobcats Wednesday and simply got outworked.

Still, a 4-5 start without Rajon Rondo on the roster is better than expected… and by the way, when might Rondo return from his ACL surgery?

Not until you have the Christmas lights up on your house, apparently. From the official twitter of the Boston Celtics.

First off, we’re never going to get a really straight answer from the organization on his recovery, this is about as good as that will get.

Second, not sure Ainge’s answer is really a surprise. Ainge had hinted earlier that come December things could move week to week.

Rondo wants you to know he is still working out.

Was Rondo secretly being coached by Tom Thibodeau?

Please, just get rid of Ainge and Rondo. Rondo is a great player but I’m too over it. The Celtics would have had at least one more title if they’s just kept the core of the last Championship team. They would have made more money in the long run, but, Ainge became (or) was always a jerk who was just lucky to have played on those Celtics Championship teams with Bird, D.J., Parish, and McHale. Besides, Rondo doesn’t even look like he enjoys playing the game most of the time.

“At least one more title” = You are the captain of delusional Celtics fans.

“if they’d just kept”, I meant.

Kurt, great job with the headline! Ainge didn’t say anything about December.

Unlike writers for newspapers, you can’t blame your editor for the weak headline.

He said not this month. This month is November, the next month is….

I’ve been told they plan to go week to week with him in December, making me think that is a possible return date.

Fair enough. I’ll take your word that Ainge said earlier on that in December Rondo would be considered week-to-week, but frankly don’t recall hearing anything like that said publicly.
