The Utah Jazz brought in veteran point guard Jamaal Tinsley to provide a little stability with rookie Trey Burke out with an injured finger. At least that was the plan.

Tinsley didn’t provide much of anything — 1.1 points a game on 20 percent shooting, plus 2.9 assists per game. He started five of the Jazz’s eight games, all losses.

Monday night coach Tyron Corbin moved him to the bench, Tuesday they let him go reports Aaron Falk of the Salt Lake Tribune.

Announcement: Pro Basketball Talk’s partner FanDuel is hosting a one-day $15,000 Fantasy Basketball league for Tuesday night’s games. It’s just $10 to join and first prize is $2,000. Starts at 7:30pm ET. Here’s the link.

So, if he is out, who is in? Marc Stein of ESPN has heard rumblings.

In Utah is all just a placeholder until Burke gets healthy, then their star rookie will get the keys to the Jazz offense. For better or worse… well, not sure it can be much worse.

As for Tinsley, not sure he is going to land another job in the league.

Initially I thought that he could bring a little something to the table; turns out he is definitely toast at this stage of his career.

The Jazz are working hard for Wiggins. As a Jazz fan, this is one long miserable season.

The good news is he managed to make it out of Utah without beating up a Mormon for stepping on the sleeve of his fur coat.

If Utah wins the first lottery pick Wiggins will not come out . No way he’s going to play in the wilderness .

Yea great idea to bring in Tinsley as a role model… Also the same guy who was involved in a car chase and shooting in his Bentley in downtown Indianapolis 7 years ago at 1 in the morning after a night at a strip club

This sucks. He plays like Tinsley in his prime on NBA 2k14, maybe better, flashy dime pieces all over the place.

If Utah wins the NBA lottery, they will select Jabari Parker since he is Mormon he will be a hero out there
