Ricky Rubio goes for triple-double against Lakers (VIDEO)

Nov 11, 2013, 10:37 AM EDT

There were other stars for Minnesota as they thrashed the Lakers’ “defense” Sunday night — Kevin Martin had 27 points shooting over the top of Steve Blake and Steve Nash, Kevin Love had 25 points and 13 rebounds — but Ricky Rubio was the glue that pulled it all together.

Rubio had a triple double with 12 points, 14 rebounds and 10 rebounds on the night, here are some of the best highlights, via NBA.com.

Lots of rebounds according to this post….

I love Rubio as a true point guard. If he can ever learn how to shoot, he’d be a top 10 player in the league. The Wolves are for real.

Progress2011, the kind of post you just wrote Is so uncalled for. Kobe’s a legend leave it at that.

Only one other player in T-Wolves history has recorded a triple double and he got his ticket to the HOF punched years ago.

Another tidbit about the game. T-Wolves scored 47 points on the Lakers in Q1. The record for most points scored in a quarter against a Lakers team is 52 and that was against the Minneapolis Lakers

      I’ll just leave this here

      What? only one other player?

KG had many a triple double, and even JJ barrea had one against okc a few years ago. Also chauncey billups, bobby jackson, tyrone corbin, terrell brandon.

If true.. Super tidbit information fail lol

Sam Cassell too and this isn’t even Rubio’s first triple double…

    • bougin89 - Nov 11, 2013 at 2:28 PM

Your information about T-Wolves triple doubles is just flat out wrong.

All you had to do was google “Twolves triple doubles” and you can easily find the correct information. Hint: a lot of other players have had Triple Doubles for the TWolves.

Rubio is pure. So fun to watch him put it together.

The euro _ayson Kidd. Get it, no J? But, like Kidd, Rubio is good. Not on Kidd’s level yet but he has the potential to get there.

Lakers were blown out by the T-Wolves in the first quarter, allowing 47 points!

    • asimonetti88 - Nov 11, 2013 at 3:29 PM

Hey at least we won the last three quarters by 1 point, right?
