PBT Extra: Lakers face big challenges with Steve Nash out

Nov 11, 2013, 8:31 PM EDT

The Lakers needed pretty much everything to go right if they were going to be a playoff team in the West this season. This season has been the opposite of that.

Steve Nash had to leave the Lakers game Sunday night after just over one quarter and Kay Adams and I discuss what that means for the Lakers. It’s not good.

Other topics include the slow start in Brooklyn (be patient) and the fast start in Phoenix behind Eric Bledsoe.

Your NBC sports video player pages are extremely unsafe. This page attempts to set 38 cookies including 17 trackers, attempts to run java, flash and a pop-up (three of the most frequent vehicles for malware), your page mis-identifies itself, you allow no possibility of an encrypted connection, and your page attempts to identify the location of the user.

Even the most basic security precautions make the video player unworkable. Any ad-blocker, disabling of java, disabling of pop-ups, disabling of location awareness, disabling of tracking cookies, or requirement for encrypted communication – all of which are basic, recommended security precautions – completely disables your video player. Basically, the only people who can watch these videos are people who are running completely insecure browsers.

    Big-time fail, NBC Sports.
