Kobe bet Kevin Ware on quickest injury recovery. Ware won.

Louisville’s Kevin Ware suffered about the most gruesome injury can suffer on the court. On national television in the Elite Eight against Duke, he went down with a bone-sticking-out-through-the-skin injury that was horrific.

He is back playing with Louisville this season, he was playing in the Cardinal’s first game against NAIA University of Pikeville and he hit a couple threes.

Sunday he was on ESPN for an interview during SportsCenter, and when asked who had reached out to him he quickly said Kobe Bryant. Somebody going through rehab of his own (an Achilles Tendon). You can see the video below, the question is at the 1:!2 mark.

“We actually made a bet, whoever comes back first has got to come to each other’s game, so I got to get in touch with him again so he can make it to a game.”

Kobe is working out but there is still no timetable for his return.

A bet is a bet Kobe, time for you to swing by Louisville and catch a game.

Hat tip to SLAM.

Don’t hold your breath, Kevin. Kyrie is still waiting for Kobe to show up.

A perfect example of your usual M.O. Avoid mentioning that Ware revealed Bryant was one of the first to reach out to him, not only giving Ware a big pickup after a horrible injury, but also making him a bet to help motivate him in his recovery. Instead, be sure to find any reason, no matter how minuscule or old, to criticize Bryant.

“We actually made a bet, whoever comes back first has got to come to each other’s game, so I got to get in touch with him again so he can make it to a game.”

Whoever comes back FIRST has got to come to (the) other’s game. To me that says Ware should be buying a ticket to a Laker game. Or, more likely, Bryant would be having him as a guest. Quite possible Ware meant to say that whoever recovers first means the other has to come to his game.

Either way you manage to blithely sidestep the real story (because it makes Bryant look good) in order to dig around to find something negative to post. I’ve never been a huge fan of Bryant’s, and his personality is often prickly, but I see no reason to not be able to respect this story and your hateful hard-on for Bryant is downright creepy.

Whoa… now that’s a long reply. Must’ve gotten under your skin.

Chill out, Anoesis. Relax a little. It’s not that serious.

& Anti say’s he doesn’t “Troll”. LLS!!!! It’s painfully obvious!! Just his typical pointless ramblings!! Not much too see here from him as usual, or read!!

Throw out a snide, nasty comment designed to garner responses, then back off and claim it isn’t “serious.” Then why post it? Oh, that’s right, I keep forgetting your only apparent thrill in life is all about trying to be the biggest jerk in the room. Congrats, you’ve got that all wrapped up, now don’t forget to write home and tell them they were wrong about you never accomplishing anything.

    @anti,
Anoesis is just one of the regulars he comes here to catch up on b-ball news and like the rest of us has to deal with your loser troll posts. Your whole act is played out, anyone who has been around this Site for a while has seen jokes like you before, and the constant failed attempts at using rare words points out that your mom lied when she told you how smart you are.
You do get credit as being the most consistent troll I’ve seen on here, but that really just speaks to how sad you are.
We should all just feel sorry for poor little Antistratfordian.

The NCAA just heard Kevin Ware made a bet and he was instantly ruled ineligible to play basketball in any way, shape or form ever again.
